Advancing Motivational Interviewing Practice
A series of bitesized workshops in Motivational Interviewing from Scottish Drugs Forum

Bitesized Workshops
The Advancing Motivational Interviewing Practice bite-sized workshops offered by Scottish Drugs Forum are designed for practitioners who have already completed at least an introductory Motivational Interviewing (MI) training and wish to further develop their skills and confidence in applying MI approaches in practice. These workshops focus on specific MI practices and provide opportunities for continued learning, practice, feedback, and skills development beyond introductory training.
The workshops are not intended to replace or replicate formal MI training. SDF delivers a comprehensive multi-day introduction to MI training through its Bronze Badge programme, which forms part of the SDF Motivational Interviewing Badge Scheme.
