This facilitator led course aims to increase knowledge and awareness of key issues relating to alcohol use in Scotland.
Course objectives:
- Recall the prevalence of alcohol use in Scotland ​ 
- Recall the unit content for common drinks, and low risk drinking guidelines ​ 
- Identify a range of reasons why people use alcohol  
- Recall the effects and costs of alcohol use associated with different patterns of drinking ​ 
- Recall key resources and support services available to reduce alcohol related harm ​ 
Informed Level: The informed level specifies the baseline practice-specific knowledge and skills every worker in the drugs and alcohol sector should be developing upon entering employment.
Please do not book training on another person’s behalf, each learner should set up their own account on the SDF Learning Centre to book their own training. This allows the learner to track their own learning progress and receive certificates on completion of training for their CPD records.
