DESCRIPTION:DEVELOPED AND DELIVERED BY SDF\, FUNDED BY GLASGOW HSCP AND ADP.  \n\n\n\nTHIS SESSION IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO THOSE LIVING AND WORKING IN GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL AREA.  IF YOU ARE OUTWITH THIS AREA PLEASE SEE OUR TRAINING CALENDAR TO VIEW AVAILABLE COURSES. \n\n\n\n\n\nThis facilitator led course will give participants a distinct set of knowledge and skills to help them understand and address alcohol and drug-related stigma  \n\n\n\nCourse objectives:   \n\n\n\n\nDescribe the impact of stigma on people who use substances\, people in treatment or in recovery from substance use  \n\n\n\n\n\nRecall language which de-stigmatises people affected by substance use \n\n\n\n\n\nDescribe how stigma and discrimination impact on the quality and effectiveness of service delivery   \n\n\n\n\n\nIdentify institutional and structural stigma attached to people who use substances\, people in treatment or in recovery from substance use. \n\n\n\n\nInformed Level: The informed level specifies the baseline practice-specific knowledge and skills every worker in the drugs and alcohol sector should be developing upon entering employment.  \n\n\n\n\n\nPlease do not book training on another person’s behalf\, each learner should set up their own account on the SDF Learning Centre to book their own training. This allows the learner to track their own learning progress and receive certificates on completion of training for their CPD records.
