IF YOU ARE OUTWITH THIS AREA PLEASE SEE OUR TRAINING CALENDAR TO VIEW AVAILABLE COURSES.  \n\n\n\n\n\nThis facilitator led course will explore the key issues relating to Psychostimulant use including Cocaine in Scotland. Identifying the effects and impacts and effective strategies and techniques for working with people who use stimulants.  \n\n\n\nCourse objectives:   \n\n\n\n\nDiscuss the current and emerging trends with psychostimulants.\n\n\n\n\n\nDiscuss the key psychostimulants in use including cocaine\, amphetamines and MDMA.\n\n\n\n\n\nIdentify effective strategies for working with people who use pyschostimulants including harm reduction.\n\n\n\n\nInformed Level: The informed level specifies the baseline practice-specific knowledge and skills every worker in the drugs and alcohol sector should be developing upon entering employment.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease do not book training on another person’s behalf\, each learner should set up their own account on the SDF Learning Centre to book their own training. This allows the learner to track their own learning progress and receive certificates on completion of training for their CPD records.

IF YOU ARE OUTWITH THIS AREA PLEASE SEE OUR TRAINING CALENDAR TO VIEW AVAILABLE COURSES.  \n\n\n\n\n\nThis facilitator course will enable workers to recognise risk factors\, high risk times and support people to reduce risk of drug related death.  \n\n\n\nCourse objectives:   \n\n\n\n\nIdentify individual risk factors and high risk times for drug related death  \n\n\n\n\n\nIdentify ways to engage and retain people in services  \n\n\n\n\n\nIdentify good practice to reduce drug related death \n\n\n\n\n Skilled Level: The skilled level specifies the practice-specific knowledge and skills expected of practitioners who have direct or substantial contact and responsibility for people affected by substance use\, and who are responsible for direct care or treatment of people affected by substance use. The ‘skilled’ level would typically apply to those in roles where there is responsibility for planning and delivery of support\, care\, or treatment.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease do not book training on another person’s behalf\, each learner should set up their own account on the SDF Learning Centre to book their own training.
